Working with HardwareLifecycle
In order to guarantee the quality of our refurbished equipment, we adhere to a detailed and comprehensive process:
Each piece of equipment is first subject to rigorous visual and functional inspection by our engineers to identify any physical damage, signs of misuse or previous repair. From this we are able to confirm suitability for refurbishment and may reject anything that does not meet our high standards.
Once an item has passed our initial inspection it is tested to ensure that it functions to the original manufacturer’s specification. This may include tests on elements such as:
- Individual switch ports
- Line card slots within a chassis-based switch
- Router module slots
- Fixed router ports
- Wireless radio functionality
We produce test results for all of our products and upload them to a public portal which allows you to view them online. Simply visit www.mytestlogs.com and enter the serial number of your product to view the test results.
We have installed a professional spray booth at our refurbishment centre to ensure our refurbished equipment, not only functions as new, but also looks like new.
The spray booth allows our engineers to produce an almost factory like finish on all items of equipment. Once the item has been sprayed, it is baked to remove the ‘just painted’ smell and produce a hard, quality finish.
A final clean and inspection of the item ensures the finished product meets our full quality standards and any issues are resolved.
The final stage of refurbishment is to reassemble the item and add any additional missing components such as blanking plates which maintain the airflow characteristics of the device. We supply all of our refurbished equipment in plain packaging and include accessories such as rack mounts, console cables and patch leads.
Our strict QC process also ensures that all the original accessories are included in the box which means that you are never caught out during installation. This means that you receive back a product that is fully tested, refurbished and correctly packaged which can be sold to your customers or reused in your own environment.
Once equipment has been refurbished we can ship it back to you immediately. Alternatively we can hold your refurbished kit in our warehouse and ship it directly to the relevant site as and when you are ready for it so you don’t have excess equipment taking up valuable space in your premises.
